Capturing, Organizing, and Presenting Data
This course explores spreadsheets and databases for capturing, organizing, and presenting data for improving decision making. Students will learn the essentials for editing, formatting, and printing worksheets and workbooks as well as how to visualize data in Microsoft Excel with charts, styles, and templates. Managing data and creating PivotTables, importing, modifying, and analyzing data are also explored along with the essentials of managing large worksheets, creating models and working with financial, date, and logical functions.
Students will also develop the skills necessary to create a new database, construct data tables, design forms and reports, and create queries in Microsoft Access. Relational database design, writing advanced queries, structuring existing data, sharing data across applications, and customizing reports are also addressed.
